Memorial Day Weekend 2012

The unofficial start of Summer delivered lots of fun in the sun for the Moller family this year!  We had a picture perfect beach weekend.  The weather could not have been any better, and the kids really enjoyed every part of the beach experience.  They had a great time building sand castles, flying a kite, searching for shells, and catching waves in the ocean. 

I could not get enough of the cuteness and ended up with over 200 pictures on my camera!  Here are just a few....



Matty has been scared of the ocean since he was knocked over by a "big" wave as a small toddler.  He started out this year refusing to even put his toes in the water

And then he went for it!  He was a fish - begging us to let him stay in the water all day!

Matty's Last Day of School!

Today was Matty's last day of school!  It was such a bittersweet day!  When I walked into his classroom, one of his teachers was in tears.  When I came to pick him up, the other one was.  And of course, that brought me to tears too! He was so lucky to have two amazing teachers who love him and care for him so much. 

 He has developed so many friendships this year, and has grown so much.  Obviously, he is a lot bigger now than when he started in September.  But he has grown so much in other ways - it is truly amazing.  His teachers were telling me that he was so quiet at the beginning of the year and wouldn't really speak up too much.  They told me that he is such a leader now - getting all the kids to play imaginary games with imaginary people.  That is so Matty!

Congrats to Matty!  He will be back next year for his last year of Preschool! 

A Special Weekend

We had such a great weekend because we had two very special visitors... Grampy and Nana Peggy came all the way from North Carolina to visit with us.  We have made it a tradition to go to lunch at the Chesapeake Inn when they visit.  We had gorgeous weather, and enjoyed spending time together.

On our way home, we happened upon the Delaware State Police/Christiana Fire Department Open House.  You all know how much Matty LOVES "emergency vehicles", so we made a stop.  We got so lucky that we were able to watch two helicopters take off!  That was very exciting for Matty & Gracie!
