At Da Beach with The Hersey's

Finally, the wait was over - the Portland Hersey's were back in town!  Matty and Gracie have been waiting for so long to play with their cousins, Cole and Chase, and meet their new baby cousin, Jocelyn.

We met up with them in Ocean City and spent a few fun-filled days in the sun and sand.

Father's Day

I've got some catching up to do with blogging, and a lot of pictures to share.  I am about a month behind, so the posts will be short on words with lots of pictures - that is all you all want anyway!

We had a great Father's Day - spent the day with Daddy and Pa.  Matty and Gracie are so lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy and grandfathers to look up to!

Such a Girl / Such a Boy

Gracie is one of the girliest girls around - likes only things that are purple or pink, always carries a handbag, and demands a bow in her hair every morning.

Matty is all boy - likes trucks, army stuff, and emergency equipment.

Today I caught their girly and boyish personalities with my phone camera while they were cooling off in the little pool.  This first picture cracks me up.  Matty hopped in the pool and immediately started splashing everyone, and Miss Gracie Girl made the girliest expression and squeal ever!

Gracie had just bought a "purse" of pool toys, but she refused to take them out of the bag to play with them.  She just wanted to carry them around in her purse.. ha!  Matty was very dangerous with that water gun!

This next series of pictures just melts my heart.  She is so cute.

Carnival Fun!

Since we have lived in our house, it has been an annual tradition to walk over to St. John the Beloved's Carnival.  The kids are both finally big enough to ride some of the rides, so they had a great time!

These next two pictures crack me up!  Gracie spotted a carnival guy with a do-rag on his head.  She did not like him at all, and she was giving him major stink eye.  I'm pretty sure if he would have tried to talk to her, she would have called him a "bad guy"!

That's him - the guy with the light blue shirt.  Ha!

We were headed home when Matty spotted the roller coaster and begged to go on it.  We told him we would come back on Saturday, but then the tears started flowing.  Being the major softie that I am, I ran to get more tickets.  I got a little nervous because I wasn't sure if Gracie would be tall enough to ride.  Our girl stood up so tall and straight next to the measuring stick - I was so proud of her!  She was getting on that roller coaster, and no one was going to stop her!  It was probably the most fun that they had all night.  Matty even stuck his arms up a few times!
