Easter 2012

I'm finally getting around to posting our Easter photos, and there are A LOT of them!  We had such a wonderful Easter!  We had a fun morning at home discovering what E.B. brought for us then headed to Nanny and Pa's for an egg hunt and dinner.

Matty's 4 Year Doctor Visit

Matty had his 4 year check up a couple of weeks ago, and it went great!  Matty was super excited to go to the doctor since he loves to play doctor at home.  He was very curious about all of the tools in the office, and he was psyched when he got his blood pressure taken!  He couldn't help but look at me out of the corner of his eye with his shy smile on his face while the nurse was taking it!

Matty weighed in at 35 lbs (50%), and he was 41 inches (75%).  He got an excellent check-up and was an awesome patient.  While Dr. Olivieri was feeling around Matty's belly, he commented to me that Matty has a little six pack!  Ha!  Well, Matty loves to run around telling people he has a six pack now! :)

Thank God for good doctor's visits and for our healthy munchkins!

I'll be back soon with Easter pictures which are way overdue, but somebody is screaming "Surprise, Mama!" from her crib.  Oh boy, I wonder what the surprise is this time...last time she had undressed her bear and was wearing the bear's clothes because she thought the were "pretty."  Haha!

Happy 4th Birthday Matty!

Four years ago today my sweet little boy made me the luckiest mama ever.  I have no idea how four years passed by so quickly - it really does seem like he was just a baby.  But then again, it feels like he has been a part of our lives forever.  I barely remember life without him!

Matty is the sweetest little boy I have ever met - and I'm not just saying that because he's mine :)  He is so loving, friendly, and genuinely cares about others so much.  He has made so many friends at school.  His teacher told me that he oftem gives out hugs and kisses to his little friends, and I've caught him snuggling up on his teachers' laps a few times too.

Matty has grown to love going to school, and he has learned so much this year.  His imagination is out of this world.  He makes up the most elaborate stories, and they almost always involve some sort of emergency that he has to respond to.  He loves to tell people that he works in Wilmington, but that some days he has to take the train into NYC.  Sound like anyone we know?

Matty loves his little sister and calls her his best friend.  They love to play together, but boy do they get into some scraps!

Matty still loves firetrucks, so we set up a tour of the Talleyville Fire Company today.  The fire dapartment is right across from his school, so he always talks about hearing the sirens and seeing the trucks.  We have been known to hang out in the Taco Bell parking lot across from the station just to see if we can spot any trucks!

Matty invited a couple of his friends from school to come along. The little girl was scared to sit on the truck, but she did it because Matty held her hand. Awww...

Matty is such a lucky little boy to have so many people who love him. Anyone who meets Matty can tell how much he is loved by his sweet, loving personality.  He is our world, and we love him more than we ever thought was possible.

Matty's Construction Zone

We celebrated Matty's 4th birthday with a super cool construction party!  He invited some of his favorite people and had so much fun!  We had a great time decorating, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without my little helper.  Matty was outside on the morning of his party decorating the front yard in his jammies while wearing a hard hat!
