Relief!

After days and days of oppressive heat, we finally got some relief today! It was sunny, low humidity and the high was 80! We were itching to get outside, so we packed up the car and headed to Grandma and Papa's house. They have a beautiful, shady yard with lots of fun things to do!

Too Hot to Handle

"Too hot!" That was the first thing out of Matty's mouth almost everyday this week. With the temperature being in the 90s (and upper 90s!), it has most definitely been too hot to be outside this week! So... it has been a looooong week. Here's some of the things we've been doing...

...playing too rough - we have certainly had our share of A.I. DuPont ER and medical bills thanks to this guy lately...

...talking to anyone who will listen...

Flash Back Friday - Dog Days of Summer

Before I had my beautiful babies to take pictures of, I obssessed with taking pictures of Brady. He is such a handsome dog, so I couldn't help it. It is ridiculous how many pictures I have of this dog. Brady has surely fallen down the ranks over the years, but I still do take an occasional picture of our four-legged lover. Anyway, here are a few from Brady chillin' out when he was still an only child...

We were at the beach one weekend when we came back to water bottles everywhere. Brady had ripped through a case and pierced most of the bottles. Here's Brady "smiling" in front of the mess he made. That was the same weekend that he also ripped a hole in the carpet in the condo and chewed an arm off a chair. Boy, was that a fun weekend...

Gracie's First Shopping Spree

There is a first for everything! Gracie had her first shopping spree with Mommy and Grandma today - we struck gold at babyGap! All clearance was an additional 40% off! We got $294 worth of merchandise for $88! Crazy! We even got some stuff for the fall and winter. It isn't all for Miss Gracie - there are a few things for her big bro too. She was all smiles in the store - life doesn't get much better than shopping with Mommy and Grandma!

Happy Father's Day!

I always talk about how lucky we are to have two beautiful, healthy babies. But today was all about how lucky our two beautiful babies are to have such an amazing daddy. He never really spent time around babies before his own, but somehow he knows just what to say and do to get little giggles, make a bump on the head all better, and get extra cranky kiddies to doze off. He's a natural and we are so lucky. He makes me feel good about the mom that I am with little boosts of much needed confidence after a long day. Happy Father's Day! We love you!! xoxoxo

A Nice Visit!

We were lucky enough to have Grampy and Peggy come all the way up from North Carolina this weekend to visit! We had a great time hanging out in the yard splashing, swinging, eating, laughing and chatting!

Fun at Longwood Gardens

We went back to Longwood Gardens today only this time we went with Grandma and a change of clothes! This was also Gracie's first trip to Longwood. She enjoyed hanging out in the shade and watching her silly brother splash. Matty had a blast. He was soaked!
