Halloween 2012

Well, we made it though Sandy unscathed, thank God!  All we dealt with was a mess of leaves and branches down.  We never even lost power.  While we are so grateful for making it through the storm ok, our hearts go out to friends and family in NY, NJ, and CT.

So Halloween went on as planned this year!  It was definitely wet and messy, but the kiddies had a great time and that's all that matters!  This was also our last Halloween in our first home which is very bittersweet.  Halloween is so much fun in our neighborhood, and it brings the neighbors out and together more than any other time of the year.  I am so happy that the kids were able to enjoy this Halloween with their friends and neighbors.  Who knows, maybe we'll be drive-by trick-or-treaters next year and drive over to SP for Halloween!

Matty's Halloween Parade & Party

Today was Matty's Halloween Parade & Party at preschool.  The kids get dressed up and go on a parade around the entire Y, then they come to the lobby to sing songs.  Of course, Mike, Gracie and I got there 30 minutes early to get a good seat.  I cannot miss my boy singing Halloween songs!

Gracie kept us entertained while we waited for the parade to begin by twirling around in her princess dress.

And there he is, Spiderman!  He doesn't care for the mask, but the foam muscles kill me.  So stinkin' cute!

One of his teachers was Little Red Riding Hood and the other was the Big Bad Wolf.

Singing songs with the four other classes.

The moment when Matty saw that Daddy left work to come to his Halloween parade and party at preschool. Melt my heart.... He sure does love his Daddy.

Partying with his friends.  Note the Ninja kid.  Who lets their kid bring swords and weapons to preschool?!

Gracie was chillin out in her own little seat

This photo is out of focus, ut I love it anyway.  Matty held Gracie's hand almost through the entire party.  They are so close to each other, and he is the best big brother ever.

Tonight we played a little T-Ball and jumped in the leaves.  I love these pictures of Gracie.  It was her first real time playing "baseball", and she thought it was the greatest!

Gracie LOVES "scary guys".  She loves them so much that she talked us into buying a blowup witch and pumpkin for our front yard.  Never thought I would do that.

Fall Fun

We have really been enjoying all the fun Fall activities!  We went to the Milburn Orchards again a few days ago to get Matty more of his favorite apple cider donuts.  The kids had a great time, and they are getting SO excited for Halloween!  Gracie is completely obsessed with all things scary.  She loves to see Frankensteins, Mr. Bones (that's what she calls skeletons), Band-Aid Man (that's what she calls mummies), and just "scary guys" in general.  I've never seen a little girl who loves freaky Halloween stuff so much!

The sweetest boy on the planet.  I swear, he gets sweeter every day.

Today we went to a Halloween themed day at the Delaware Natural History Museum.  It was full of slime and creepy creatures!  The kids even got to pet a real snake!  They got to wear their Halloween costumes which was the most fun for them!
