Matty's Preschool Halloween Parade

Matty's preschool had their Halloween parade and party today!  Matty is going to be a police officer for Halloween this year, but he loves to arrest people and put them in jail.  To keep Matty from getting in trouble and to keep me embarrassment, I talked Matty into wearing his costume from last year just to the parade at school.  I didn't want him arresting all his classmates, so instead he was a handsome little firefighter!  Matty loves firefighters, so he didn't protest at all!

After parading through the halls, all the classes came together for a little show in the lobby.

They sung and danced - I don't know why they put the older class up front - you could barely see any of the little guys...

All the parents were taking pictures during the show, and Gracie was posing for them saying "cheese!"  Look at the attitude on her face!

We went back to Matty's class for a little party after the show.  It was fun to see Matty interacting with all his little buddies... and following directions!  Yay!

Look who made herself part of the party!  Gracie pulled a chair up to the table with the boys and yelled at me to give her some cheese!  Ha!  She is something else!  She loves Matty's class and was so upset when we had to leave.

Lots o' Laughs in Connecticut

We just got back from four fun-filled days in Connecticut visiting two of our favorite people!  We headed up on Thursday to spend the weekend with Jim & Bethany at their beautiful home.  They are great friends and always guarantee fun times and a lot of laughs.

Matty and Gracie loved Jim and Bethany's home.  They have to coolest stuff and such a fun yard.  My favorite is the leopard chaise lounge :)

We visited Stew Leonard's which is a crazy grocery store filled with singing milk cartons, butter, veggies, fruit, and a talking cow!

Not quite sure what to think about the singing butter...

Matty was definitely not into the talking cow...

Gracie was terrorized by a big, fluffy walking chicken in the store.  We had to hide from the chicken whenever he passed.  This picture was right before she lost it...

So even though the singing food and animals were a little too much for them, Matty and Gracie had a fun time and walked out with two of their favorites... chocolate milk and watermelon :)

Searching for acorns and leaves in Jim and Bethany's yard...

We even visited the beach!  It is so, so pretty and had the best selection of shells and seaglass.

I had to pose Gracie Girl on my favorite chaise lounge...

Doesn't she look pretty in her ballerina jammies?!

Matty with one of the sweetest dogs ever.  Her name is Bella, and we love her.  She was so good to the kids and has the sweetest little face.

The Zoo!

We spent this beautiful Columbus Day on a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo with Grandma!  The kids have only ever been to the Brandywine Zoo which is tiny and stinky.  The Philadelphia Zoo is awesome though and worth the trip up 95!  Gracie and Matty had so much fun and were so interested in all the animals and exhibits.  It was another perfect day with Grandma!

Gracie Girl spent the entire day with a map in her hands at all times.

The sweetest boy in the world...

And the silliest girl...

Matty's favorite animals of the day were the crocodiles and alligators.

There she is with that map again!

Matty got a rainforest rescue jeep as a souvenir, and as soon as we got home he had the scene set up.  I didn't catch the giraffe in this picture, but there was a giraffe off to the side.  Matty said that we had a "complication" where the giraffe fell down the hill and all the rescue vehicles had to rescue him.  He's got a very healthy imagination!

And Miss Gracie got a pink giraffe backpack.  So cute...
