Happy New Year!

Matty & Gracie hit the town tonight to celebrate a wonderful 2010 and all the good things to come in 2011!  Happy New Year!!

Gracie Got Her Hair Cut!

Gracie had her first haircut today!!  She loved every part of being pampered at the salon!  She sat so nicely, smiling and giggling her way through the whole process.  She was also eaves dropping on other ladies in the salon leaning back and looking over when they were chatting.  Gracie looks so grown up now, and she loves her new hair style!  She has been rubbing her little hands through her bangs ever since we left the salon.

I was so happy to see that we could still fit a bow in her hair.  Gracie, on the other hand, was not.  She ripped it out right after I snapped this picture.

Check out Gracie's new teeth!  She finally got her first (two) teeth on the bottom!

A Nice Day

We have been spending a lot of time indoors lately due to snowy, frigidly cold, windy weather.  Today was "a nice day," as Matty proclaimed a number of times.  The temperature was relatively mild and the sun was shining.  So we went to visit Grandma and Papa and play in the snow.

Look at Gracie's hair!  Good thing she has an appointment for her FIRST haircut tomorrow!  I can't wait!

I forgot Gracie's winter coat!  Her car seat and blanket keep her warm, so she doesn't wear her winter coat much.  But she definitely could have used it today.  I just snuggled her up close to me with blankets, and she stayed nice and toasty.

Merry Christmas!

This year was the first year that we stayed at home all day on Christmas.  Grandma and Papa came to visit, and we had such a great time.  Matty loved his presents and all the events of the day.  Gracie was a little overstimulated by all the action, but she took a 3.5 hour nap and woke up in such a good mood!  

It was such a special first Christmas for Gracie and first Christmas at home for us!  Here is a cute video of Matty and Gracie coming downstairs to see that Santa had come.

We ended up having a White Christmas, sort of.  It flurried for a good part of the day.  Tomorrow we are supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow.  What?!?!
